COVID- 19 Safety Protocol
WE ARE OPEN
We are happy to announce that we at Blouberg Dental Practice are back and OPEN to assist you with regular dental appointments. We are ready to help you with Crowns, Fillings, Dental Implants, Teeth Whitening, etc.
We understand that during the nationwide lockdown many patients had to wait and this has created a back-log to many of our services. We are committed to keeping you safe and have implemented extra safety protocols to protect you and your family during this pandemic.
Safety Protocol during the COVID-19 pandemic:
The receptionist will ask you some screening questions to ensure that it is OK for you to visit us.
On your arrival, it is essential to wear a face mask as no one will be allowed without one. You might be asked some screening questions again and your temperature will be taken.
We kindly ask that you do not bring friends or family along if possible so we can limit the number of patients in our waiting room at all times. This is to honor the government's regulations of social distancing. However, one parent may accompany a minor to assist during the dental visit.
|Hand sanitizer will be available during check-in and check-out and you will be asked to use it.|
You will receive some plastic gloves to wear and a clean tray for your belongings. If possible try to limit your belongings to the minimum when visiting our rooms.
All patients will be required to sign a consent form before treatment for your safety.
We proactively clean and disinfect our waiting rooms, patient rooms, and are limiting common “touchpoints,” like the computer registration pads and sign-in sheets.
Our operating rooms will further follow strict sterilization and infection control protocol as set out in the guidelines from the Department of Health Western Cape and the South African Dental Association.
When entering the operating rooms you will be asked to rinse with a 1% peroxide solution before any dental exam or treatment to limit or reduced bacterial and viral load.
Patients experiencing a temperature, cough, or other COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted in the office.
We want you to know that we are taking your health and these new protocols very seriously. We further want to thank you for your kind understanding and trust during these difficult times.
